ABOUT THE HOUSE

Every House
has a beginning.

A private, invitation-led women’s social and cultural House. A place to be known beyond titles, responsibilities, and accomplishments.

Gathered in Grace. Cultivated in Community. Created for Legacy.

THE BEGINNING

The courage to make
the first invitation.

Oak & Ivy House began with a woman who knew the quiet confidence of meaningful community. When relocation changed the geography of her life, she felt the absence of familiar faces and enduring friendships.

Rather than wait for belonging to appear, she chose to extend herself and gather women—without knowing who would say yes.

Community is cultivated through intention, generosity, consistency, and the courage to make the first invitation.

WHY THE HOUSE EXISTS

Meaningful rooms.
Room to be yourself.

Wide networks and busy calendars can still leave women longing for intimacy, trust, restoration, and sincere friendship. Here, ambition and softness belong in the same room.

The House is particularly thoughtful about the experiences and legacy needs of Black women and women of the diaspora. Shared values bring us together across identities: belonging with standards, friendship with depth, and care beyond ourselves.

WHAT WE ARE BUILDING

A place to be known.

Friendship with depth

Thoughtful conversation, shared memories, and milestones celebrated.

Space to flourish

Ambition, rest, joy, and personal growth in good company.

Care that carries forward

Culture, service, shared wisdom, and a legacy beyond ourselves.

LOOKING AHEAD

A House that deepens
across seasons.

We build quietly enough to remain sincere and boldly enough to become undeniable.

TAKING ROOT NOW

The foundations.

A founding circle, the first gatherings and conversations, and the beginning of shared traditions.

Our digital House gives this growing community a place to connect between gatherings.

OUR LONG VISION

Across generations.

City circles, seasonal gatherings, reading salons, wellness experiences, service partnerships, cultural excursions, and travel.

These are the possibilities we are cultivating over time, with meaningful friendships and intergenerational traditions at their heart.

How are membership costs shared?

An invitation begins with shared values and a willingness to contribute. Any annual dues support the House’s programming, care, and shared experience. Membership information is shared personally and explains dues, what is included, renewal terms, and any separate event costs before you decide whether to accept.

COME A LITTLE CLOSER

Belonging begins with an introduction.

Membership grows through relationships, thoughtful referrals, and personal invitations. Requesting a key is a brief expression of interest and the beginning of a conversation.

IMPACT & OPPORTUNITY

What grows here
can reach beyond us.

Scholarships, business building, mentorship, and service—programs we are shaping with care.
